Fred Stubble by Channel Islands

Fred Stubble
Al Merrick's latest model, the Fred Stubble, was born when Conner Coffin asked for a small wave model of Fred Rubble, winner of the SIMA Board of the Year in 2011. It was created with the idea of compacting the characteristics of the Rubble. It is a contest board for small waves, allowing rail-to-rail surfing even on small, powerless beach breaks. It also allows for very sharp turns in the wave pocket, while gaining the same speed when paddling as a board that is 3 inches longer. Conner won the 2013 US Open with this board.
