VESPER

One of the most user-friendly boards Matt has ever made. Gets up to speed faster and with less effort than any other model. The extra foam packed in makes for effortless wave catching and continued flow throughout the wave. Similar to the Plasmic, the deep double-barrel concave generates speed and creates lift off the back foot, while providing grip through your turns. With a bit more rocker than you would expect, this board is extremely versatile and maneuverable for its size.

The name "Vesper" derives from the family of micro bats called "Vespertilionidae," Which Margo has spent years observing and collecting data on. This bat family is known as one of the most diverse and versatile families of bats. Specialised in many forms to occupy a range of habitats, much like the board Matt and Margo developed. 

「VESPER」は使い勝手の良いボードになる様にいろいろ調整を重ねて完成したモデルになります。特に加速性の良さが他のモデルに比べて際立っています。さらにフォームの多くを可能な限り残す様にデザインしているのでパドルやテイクオフのサポートもしっかりしてくれます。
人気モデルのPLASMICのボトムに似た深いダブルコンケーブがターンの際の加速性の良さを可能にし、さらにターン時の水のホールドもサポートもしてくれます。ロッカーは優しいボードには珍しくやや強いですがこのロッカーも回転性を可能な限り維持してくれているので総合的にバランスの良い使い勝手の良いボードの仕上がりに貢献しています。

ちなみに名前の「VESPER」は多くのフリーサーファーに影響を与えた元祖フリーサーファーの一人、ブレンデン・"マーゴ"・マージェソンが長年観察をしていた「Vespertilionidae・ヒナコウモリ科」から名付けられています。ヒナコウモリ科のコウモリは種類がとても多く世界中のさまざまな場所や環境に生息しています。世界中のあらゆる場所や環境に適応したヒナコウモリの様にさまざまな波の状況や場所に合わせて適応できるマットとマーゴによってデザインされたサーフボードなのでVESPERの名前を冠しています。
